Richard Garey's
Mark Twain HIMSELF
"Hannibal's Theater Experience"
Experience a live encounter with humorist Mark Twain as stage actor
Richard Garey brings his acclaimed one-man show to Hannibal for the
eighth season. Hilarious comedy and compelling drama, this show
always entertains in the Planters Barn Theater at 319 North Main Street .
This live theater show has been performed to great reviews in over forty
states, Canada and Bermuda. Now it makes its home in Hannibal.
In this show Garey recreates the famous Mark Twain shows of 100+
year ago. Sam Clemens or Mark Twain was just as famous for his
shows as he was for his writing. He was a great showman and
performed his shows all over the world. Richard Garey has over six
hours of stage material at his disposal so the material varies greatly
from show to show.
All in Twain's words, Garey explores Twain's life in Hannibal, his
experiences on the Mississippi as a steamboat pilot, his experiences in
the American west, his exploration of the Sandwich Islands, his trip to
Europe and the Holy Land, and his life with his wife Olivia and his
daughters. Laugh along with Tom Sawyer and catch a glimpse of
America through the eyes of Huckleberry Finn.
Tickets are $16 for adults, $14 for children and seniors, and $13 for
groups of 30 or more.
