Heritage Stage Shows are available in the following venues:
Planters Barn Theater
Our home theater and base of operations, The Planters Barn Theater, hosts the summer production of Mark Twain Himself from May to August. It also hosts the Christmas production of A Shepherd's Tale in December. We also book Group Shows, School Field Trip Shows, and Convention/Business Shows in the theater any time as scheduling permits. The Planters Barn Theater is itself a tourist attraction. It was built in 1849 by Sam Bowen, a friend of Sam Clemens. Sam Clemens also known as Mark Twain was in the building many times visiting his friends as was attorney Abraham Lincoln when he visited Hannibal.
Planters Barn Theater is located at 319 North Main Street in the historic district of Hannibal, Missouri. On Dead Man's Alley just a stone's throw from the Mark Twain Boyhood Home, the theater sits just behind the Becky Thatcher House and the Haunted House on Hill Street.
